POP3 - This is really "Post Office Protocol, version 3". Because there is also a
POP2 - POP version 2 (runs on port 109, rather than 110)
For a joke...
IMAP - add to the description "An open protocol, not to be confused with MAPI"
MAPI - A propriety licensed protocol from a leading desktop vendor; not to be confused with IMAP
Note alternate RAID definition:
RAID - Redundant Array of Inexpensive/Indepedent Disks (Inexpensive was the original definition; Independent is a modern retcon of the term)
Potential additions...
PPP - Point to Point Protocol
MAN - Metropolitan Area Network (typically a fast - eg ATM speed - network connecting sites in an area - eg central London; faster than the WAN)
SOX - Sarbanes Oxley (the bane of finance at the moment!)
CNAME - Common Name
